BRAND STORY
BROWNEMS was founded in 2019 by knitwear maven Dawei Si as a special gift to his beautiful wife and newly born son. A gift that contains love, passion and hope of which BROWNEMS represents.
Dawei has run his knitwear factory for over a decade, and produced millions of garments for many renowned brands globally. With years of knitting experience, great passion for knitwear and dedications to aesthetic research, Dawei knew he was ready to launch his own label. This is how BROWNEMS was born.

BROWNEMS’ mission is to provide a wardrobe for modern women to feel comfortable, confident, chic and empowered in every moment of their lives. Combined with everyday essentials and statement pieces, versatile staples that can be effortlessly styled together from dawn to dusk.
BROWNEMS only sources the premium quality materials to make garments in its ethical factory. Attention to details and a dedication to craftsmanship runs through each garment, so that it lasts forever.

BROWNEMS is committed to responsible practice across all areas of its business. Ethical and sustainable sourcing is a vital part of this commitment.
BROWNEMS requires its suppliers and their affiliates to uphold ethical commitment in order to trade with us. For example, our yarn suppliers must carry certifications for being sustainable, fair trade and following animal welfare guidelines. BROWNEMS strives to use the most sustainable materials from farm to factory, and invests in new fabric innovations to ensure we are reducing our impact on the planet. We priorize natural fibers, but use recycled synthetics where a clear performance or durability advantage is required.
BROWNEMS also produces its garments in STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certificated factory, this standard ensures all textiles, down to the smallest piece of yarn, have been tested for harmful substances.
BROWNEMS’ responsible practice also includes non-garment area. As you may know that there area more than eight million tons of plastic on the planet, it never goes away once it is made. From the very beginning, using eco-friendly packaging for our garments is implanted in our brand. Our outer packaging bag is made of acid free biodegradable and compostable materials. All hangtags, tissue wrapping papers and thank you cards are made of FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) recycled papers. We would like to contribute as much as we could to live in a better environment together with our dearest customers.
